Frequently Asked Questions:

We know that planning an event can sometimes feel overwhelming.  We're here to help! With more than two decades experience we can help you with almost any question you may have. Feel free to contact us by phone or email for personal service. And to get you started here are some things you might want to know...

  • What is the history of the Venue?

After more than 20 years in the catering and event industry Robb and Monica knew they wanted to host beautiful events for their guests, so they started searching for a property with everything needed.  We were looking for a peaceful, private setting with the beauty of nature surrounding us. We needed a place remote enough to have parties without disturbing our neighbors. We found Ravenridge which is surrounded by one kind neighbor, 650 acres of riding and hiking trails in Banner Forest and a vacant 5 acre lot next door. We moved here in February 2019 during the "big snow." (That was an experience!) It's taken some time to tame nature and get permission from the county in order to be ready for our guests. As an Agri-Tourism business we invite you to share in our flower gardens, meet our animals (goats, chickens, and cats), and even bring your horse to graze in our pasture. We have had a few personal events over the past few years and now we plan to open for your private events in Summer of 2024.

  • Is Ravenridge a LGBTQIA friendly?

Absolutely! All are welcome and all forms of Love are celebrated!

  • What is the maximum number of guests permitted?

We have included tables and chairs for up to 120 guests. If you anticipate a larger crowd feel free to ask and we may accept them on a case-by-case basis with additional fees.

  • What type of structures does Ravenridge have?

We offer a 40’ x 80’ high-peak canopy for your party area. We can provide a 20’ x 10’ canopy for caterer use. There is no kitchen facility so caterers must be self contained. In the future we will be building two bridal party dressing rooms in our tiny home Western Town Village, and for now we offer a 29" camper for your bridal party use. Restrooms are extra-large ADA accessible portable units freshly cleaned for every event. (Please note the house is a private home with no access to guests or clients.)

  • Is there a backup plan for inclement weather?

Side walls for the canopy may be rented with at least 5 days notice and the rental company will install them. Rental heaters are also available from your party rental store. We recommend Kitsap Event Rentals or Cort Party Rental.

  • What times can I access the property?

We offer 10 hour rentals between the hours of 9am to 10pm. Alcoholic beverage service must cease at 8:30pm and amplified music must be off by 9pm. Client and guest access is limited to your rental period and all guests and vendors musts be vacated by 10pm. Vendors may arrange for earlier or later access for rental delivery, pick up, and set up with prior approval. You may also arrange for a 2 hour rehearsal and/or a 2 hour photo shoot at a designated time with no extra charge based upon availability.

  • Who provides tables, chairs, tablecloths, dishware, etc?

We provide up to 19 60" round tables and 120 white resin folding chairs with padded seats.  Linens, china, flatware and glassware may be provided by you, your caterer, or your rental company. There is no dish washing on site, so please be prepared to pack out your supplies without washing.

  • Can we play yard games?

Yes, we have bean bag toss (corn hole), bocce ball, and giant Jenga for your use. You’re welcome to bring other games and inflatables too!

  • What is your cancellation policy?

There is a 50% non-refundable initial payment on the day of your reservation. The remainder is due 60 days prior to your event. In the case that you need to cancel, you will forfeit a portion or all of your deposit depending on notice that is given and our ability to rebook the date. If you’d like to reschedule your date we will do our best to accommodate you and there may be a fee depending upon the amount of advance notice given.

  • Are there any additional fees?

There will be a refundable $500 damage deposit. This will be returned to you with 14 days after your event less any applicable charges. There are some optional services available such as event coordination, officiating, and antique truck rentals.  We ask that you or your caterer provide event insurance and provide us with a Certificate of Insurance naming Ravenridge Events, LLC as an additional insured.

  • Is smoking allowed on the Ravenridge property?

Ravenridge is a 100% non-smoking venue and property.

  • Will there be space family and friends park their cars?

Yes. We have a large grass parking area for up to 50 cars, with additional rental options available nearby. Your guests will be directed by parking attendants to the on-site parking area at the time of their arrival.

  • What are the options for restroom facilities?

We provide extra large ADA portable restrooms with hand washing stations and they are professionally cleaned and emptied for each event.

  • Is the property ADA accessible?

Yes, our grounds and restrooms are ADA accessible. Please bear in mind most areas are grassy and not paved so practical footwear is advised.

  • Are we allowed to choose our own event caterer or do we choose from a select list?

We have offered a quality list of preferred caterers and other vendors for you to check out. However, at this time, you may select your own caterer. All selected caterers must be fully licensed, permitted, insured and approved by Ravenridge.

  • Can I bring my own alcohol?

Yes, we do allow client provided alcoholic beverages, however, a licensed caterer must provide professional and insured bartenders to serve your beverages.

  • Will I need to provide my own liquor license?

Yes. You will need to work with your licensed caterer to provide beverage service, or if providing your own beverages you will need to obtain a Washington State Banquet Permit.

  • Is hard alcohol allowed on property?

Hard liquor can be served, but must be served by a licensed bartender though a permitted caterer.  We also ask that no shots are served.

  • Do you provide rehearsals?

Yes. We offer a two hour window on the Thursday or Friday prior to your event.  This must be scheduled at least two weeks prior to the date, and not more than 3 months prior in order to make allowances for other scheduled events.

  • How much time do I have to set up my wedding or event and can I purchase additional time?

Set up and clean up must be completed during your 10 hour rental period. We offer an additional hours for purchase at $200 per hour on a case-to-case basis.

  • Who is responsible for setup and take down? What is the time frame for this?

Ravenridge will take care of setup and take down for all the tables and chairs based on the layout you provide in advance. Beyond that, setup, take down and clean-up is up to the renter, planner, and/or caterer. Setup may begin at the time that your rental begins and take down must start at 9pm at the latest.  Most events plan for at least 2 hour set up, and 1 hour clean up.

  • Does Ravenridge provide decorations, arbors, etc.?

We offer a rustic tree branch arbor that can be moved to where ever you’d like. All other decorations are the responsibility of the renter or their vendors.

  • Are celebratory send-off materials, such as confetti allowed?

We welcome bubbles, bird seed, and real biodegradable flower petals. Rice and confetti may not be used as it harmful to the wildlife. Silk flower petals and fireworks are not allowed.

  • What kind of décor can I bring?

You and your decorator may provide your own self-contained centerpieces and ceremony décor. Balloons are discouraged due to environmental concerns. Candles must be in an approved container that is taller than the flame. Any decor that needs to be hung from the tent may be allowed with use of non-residue easy-removal adhesive products. We ask that you remove any boxes and containers that are brought on site.
